Dowd
and Guild Inc. Scholarship
Founded in 1998, the Dowd and Guild Scholarship
was created to support and assist the private sector by expanding educational
opportunities for students in need. Scholarship
criteria include:
- Commitment to educational goals
- Academic achievement documented by a high school/college
transcript
- Participation in school leadership and extracurricular
activities
- Commitment to the community through involvement in
volunteer activities
- Demonstrated financial need
- Personal essay assessment
Eligible students must be a United States citizen, must
be a currently enrolled student in good academic standing, must be enrolled in or entering
a 2 or 4 year undergraduate college program and must be a California resident.
In order to apply, student should complete the scholarship application, submit a personal essay
addressing each of the scholarship criteria and submit an official high school or college
transcript. Eligible candidates will be scheduled for an interview at the Dowd and
Guild Corporate Offices. The scholarship is a $1,000 award and is paid in four
quarterly installments.
Students are required to updated Dowd and Guild quarterly
as to their academic progress and leadership activities in order to receive their next
installment. Scholarships are awarded throughout the year so applicants may apply at
any time. |
