Eligibility
In order to be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following
criteria:
- Be a United States citizen or permanent resident
- Be a currently enrolled student in good standing
- Must be entering an undergraduate college program
Applicant Procedure
Submit the following materials to the offices of Dowd and Guild Inc.
- Complete the Dowd and Guild Inc. Scholarship application
- Submit a Personal Essay
- Submit an official high school or college transcript
Selection Criteria
Scholarship recipients are selected by the Dowd and Guild, Inc. Scholarship Committee on a
competitive basis. Factors considered in the selection process include, but are not
limited to the following:
- Commitment to their educational goals
- Educational performance documented by a high
school/college transcript
- Demonstrated need for financial aid as defined by the
Scholarship Committee
- Personal Essay Statement
- Commitment to the community demonstrated through
involvement in volunteer activities
- Participation in school leadership and extracurricular
activities
