Effective May 17, 2010, BYK USA appoints Dowd and Guild Inc. as its distributor for the Pacific Northwest and Western regions of the United States. Dowd and Guild Inc., a specialty chemical distributor, has been serving the paint and coatings industry since 1986. Their experienced, knowledgeable sales and customer service personnel are well positioned to service BYK USA customers in this territory. |

Sabrina Cota joined D&G on May 12th as Customer Service Representative in our San Ramon office.
Sabrina Cota joined D&G on May 12th as Customer Service Representative in our San Ramon office. Sabrina recently moved back to the Bay Area from Irvine, California where she worked in Customer Service at Classic Foods, Inc. for two and a half years. Classic Foods, Inc. is a natural potato chip/food manufacturer. In this fast paced role, she handled customer orders from entry to delivery, including invoicing and shipping. Previously, she was in the mortgage industry for over 6 years in which she was promoted to Post Closing Supervisor at First NLC Financial Services in 2005. Sabrina studied Business Management for 2 years at Maui Community College as well as accounting at DVC. Sabrina enjoys spending free time with her family, her husband, Orlando, a chef at Tomatina in Walnut Creek and her 7-year old son, Dominic. |

Laurie Morones Celebrates 15 Years with Dowd and Guild Inc.
Tom, Howard, Laurie and Tina celebrated over lunch at Café Esin. We congratulated Laurie for this milestone, shared memories and thanked her for being a key, valued employee. Laurie is credited with consistently advancing ideas that have changed the way we operate, resulting in improved overall productivity and efficiency. As a result of Laurie’s recommendations, D&G was well prepared to effectively deal with the growth we experienced from 1994 - 2008. During her career at D&G, she has worked in Customer Service, Project Management and IT. We thank Laurie for her dedication and commitment to D&G and we look forward to many more years to come |

Dowd and Guild Takes on the Tronox TiO2 product line
Effective September 2009, Tronox Incorporated. has appointed Dowd and Guild Inc. to be the exclusive distributor of their TiO2 product line for the states of California, Nevada, Arizona, NM, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Washington, and Oregon. Dowd and Guild, Inc. will warehouse material in Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Portland as well as do direct shipments to customers. Dowd and Guild Inc. will be servicing the coatings, plastics, ink and building products markets.
