|Dowd and Guild Inc. & Kelly Moore Paint Day Project
Dowd and Guild Inc. and Kelly-Moore employees spent a Saturday volunteering their time to help paint the Tenderloin’s San Francisco City Academy. The Academy serves approximately 350 students from the inner city/Tenderloin area and is dedicated to raising future leaders and productive people for the world, despite the environment in which they live. The San Francisco City Academy recently took over the Musician’s Union building, which was in tremendous need of a remodel. Dowd and Guild Inc. and Kelly-Moore donated all of the paint and sundries used in the remodel and their employees contributed by spending a Saturday painting the school. Employees were also treated to a tour of the homeless outreach program where hundreds of meals are served daily and they met the founder of the San Francisco Rescue Mission, Pastor Roger Huang.
Dowd and Guild Inc. sponsors and administers the Paint Donation Program providing free paint to worthwhile charities around the world. Since the beginning of the program in 1996 over one million gallons of paint have been distributed. This program exists because of the generous donations from a major paint manufacturer in the Western United States.
Qualified organizations must be credentialed as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and must use the paint for worthwhile charitable projects. Resale of the paint is not allowed. Click here to view current data on our paint donation program. .

|World Impact Oakland
World Impact Oakland is one of the non-profits Dowd and Guild Inc. employees enjoy helping most. Employees have served breakfast to the homeless and low income residents of West Oakland’s Prescott community on many occasions. An estimated 200 members of the local neighborhood are served a free breakfast each Saturday morning. The most rewarding part of the experience for employees is to reach out and visit with the members of the community. World Impact also offers job search assistance, pregnancy counseling, church services and community activities designed to building a safe and stable environment in West Oakland, California. Dowd and Guild Inc. also donated a used but reliable van to World Impact, which allows residents to be shuttled to community activities and children to summer camp.
