World Impact Oakland World Impact Oakland is one of the non-profits Dowd and Guild Inc. employees enjoy helping most. Employees have served breakfast to the homeless and low income residents of West Oakland’s Prescott community on many occasions. An estimated 200 members of the local neighborhood are served a free breakfast each Saturday morning. The most rewarding part of the experience for employees is to reach out and visit with the members of the community. World Impact also offers job search assistance, pregnancy counseling, church services and community activities designed to building a safe and stable environment in West Oakland, California. Dowd and Guild Inc. also donated a used but reliable van to World Impact, which allows residents to be shuttled to community activities and children to summer camp. |
